Setting the tone with sharp and penetrating electric guitar, College Elite (aka Joshua William) opens his upcoming single I Might Fall Apart (out 8 April) with an epic vocal tone and cerebral lyrics, “You can’t pull me away any longer, I wanna go from the start, put both sides of my brain together, or I might fall apart…”
I Might Fall Apart follows the release of College Elite‘s debut single Next Semester, and was recorded at Mad Fox Studios with producer Tayte Nickols (Supera Morza, The Sheratons), and we are already obsessed.
College Elite has thought provoking pop lyricism which is full of super catchy hooks, and we love the vocal production. The instrumental bridge is really immersive and hypnotizing, and we could see this getting some nice 2000s Americana-style movie synch deals for the rising artist.
When discussing the theme of I Might Fall Apart, College Elite says it is “inspired by a relationship not working out”.
Speaking about the creation of the track, Joshua said;
“I wanted to do a more fast paced jangly pop style song, going as pop as even Busted.”
“I wrote the song on piano so I could focus first on the lyrics and vocal melodies rather than have in my mind how I was going to play it on guitar. I wanted it to be non-stop for 2 and a half minutes and this is what came out.”
We have been immersing ourselves in College Elite‘s discography on Spotify and SoundCloud and can’t wait for I Might Fall Apart to come out on April 8, so that we can add it to our New Music Spotlight playlist!
