Setting the frequency with textured percussion that builds into an elegant synth and guitar melody fused with the title of the track, Tim Scott opens his new single with the words, Roller Skating.
The production experience is exquisite and transportive, we love the lyrical details like “blue skies” followed by a cute and endearing whistle.
Tim Scott‘s guitar performance is undeniably magnetic and he says, “Guitar anthems are the future!”. When speaking on the intention of the multi-dimensional track, Tim says, “My ultimate aim is to emotional lift people up… my music has a chilled holiday adventure feel.”
We feel fully transported to Venice Beach or an alternate dimension where everyone is free and floating on skates! The accompanying visual features people roller-skating in different locations and we are hypnotized by the sonic landscape created by the producer that brings this vibe to life.
Tim continues, “I believe new music is only created when you push the boundaries a little. I particularly like mixing chilled dance-pop with my guitar adventures.”
We love the fusion sound that the artist has created, not only is it unique, but the production is well-crafted and magnetic. Tim says, “I’m an avid electric guitar player but instead of shredding a million notes, I put all my effort into writing catchy, uplifting melodies.”
Speaking further on his intention, the German artist based in Nisterau says, “Having had metal health problems in my life; I love nothing more than making people happy with bright chilled music that lifts everyone up!”
We feel that Tim!
Tim Scott is a solo artist who sings and plays guitar mainly, but also plays bass, keyboards, percussion and drums. When we discussed his influences, Tim cited Toto, Carlos Santana, Yes, Dire Straits, Sting, Joe Satriani, John Mayer, Van Halen, Gary Moore, Steve Vai and Jeff Beck to name a few, which we can all feel transpire into the artistry that Scott is becoming known for.
The talented musician plays all the instruments and mixed the track which was mastered at the iconic Abbey Road in London by Geoff Pesche.
Tim expand that “Roller Skating is all about escaping to a better place with friends, and forgetting the world for a moment and enjoying just being.”
“I like to think that I create escapism through my music. Helping people let go of life’s worries even if just for a moment”, concludes the rising artist.
We feel Tim’s infectious energy and have been immersing ourselves in his wider discography including Magnesium, Glass Zebra and God’s Heart, and Roller Skating has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist!
