We have been immersing ourselves in the brilliant works of Anniballi Davide (aka Davide Anniballi) and recently featured his composition, Red Wine A Maurizia.
The Italian pianist has also released a double feature EP with the songs Freedom and Un bel giorno which we wanted to spotlight.
Freedom is a delicate composition played on piano with immersive synth-strings that have us completely hypnotized. Speaking on the song, Davide says that it is “deliberately repetitive, and I composed it with the idea of dancing in the air”. This truly feels like the ultimate notion of freedom to us, to be free of constraints, in mid air, in somewhat of a cosmic dance with the universe.
The second track on the EP is Un bel giorno, and opens with a more emotive element fusing Davide’s intricate piano with synth-strings that help dimensionalize the track.
Davide is from the city of Pesaro in Italy and his heritage plays into the songs, tapping into the classic Italian soundscape and reflecting it for a modern era.
The composer, who is also a mathematics teacher, creates an impactful and desirable world with his art, produced on a Yamaha keyboard.
Un bel giorno translates as “one fine day”, and this is also brought to life with the artwork showing the expanse of the ocean which fits seamlessly with the themes of the two songs.
We are fans of Anniballi Davide‘s intimate soundscapes and have been streaming additional tracks including Simplicity, Serenita and of course, Red Wine A Maurizia. Freedom has also been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist!
