Setting the tone with a spacey synth, vocal textures and super unique affected synth almost with a drill-pop energy, an exquisite vocal opens Better Times, the latest single by Glow Beets.
“Young in love in a city where the heart don’t sleep, would you wait on me?” sings Joe Jury as UK-based DJ Producer Glow Beets takes us on a journey with a hybrid EDM soundscape.
Having been releasing for the last two years, Glow Beets has been building up his catalogue and developing a soundscape that is not only cohesive but identifiable. He uses a signature upbeat pallet of guitar sounds, pads, plucks, claps and snaps is met with choppy percussive rhythms, tightly diced catchy vocal chops and a bass guitar to create his sonic universe.
Better Times has an upbeat and positive energy, with the optimistic hook, “how long we’ve waited…for better times”. Perfect timing for the end of a pandemic.
We have been immersing ourselves in Glow Beets‘ wider discography which includes Love Me Hate Me, Headrush and Dare to Dream. Better Times is also featured on our New Music Spotlight playlist!
‘Better Times’ marks the first release of a 2022 campaign for Glow Beets which will see various collaborative and remix projects released. This first single will be released on Italian label Milleville Records who have a rich history in dance music which spans over 30 years.
“Milleville have a huge legacy in the EDM world and yet a modern philosophy on the digital space and they’re a great partner I am thrilled to be working with” said Glow Beets.
