Setting the tone with immersive nostalgic rock guitar, refined brass and doubled drums fused with a polished and contemporary sound mix, Aza Brown opens his latest release, For Real? with the confident lyrics, “What if I told you there’s method to my madness, and how in the world could it go wrong?”
Throughout the song, Aza Brown shares wisdom through perceptions of reality and decoding life as we know it with the lyrics of For Real? and hook, “There’s more than just existence to this life, are you for real?”.
Marking the rising artist’s first release of the year, Aza Brown says “For Real? is an uptempo, uplifting anti-establishment rant about the futility of modern living, and escaping the rat race…”
Through his wisdom, the singer with exquisitely textured vocal production also says, “I’m offering encouragement to those who can stand in the face of fear, and look at what life offers on the other side if you have the courage to take the plunge.”
When asked to cite his influences, the Chesterfield, UK-based artist references The Beatles, The Verve, Talk Talk, Jellyfish, The Doors, The Divine Comedy, Crowded House, Frank Zappa, David Bowie and Soulwax. A cohesive set of references for Aza’s discography.
