Setting the tone with an alt rock frequency with refined guitar plucks and padded drums, Sahara Beck opens her new single, Stillness, with the introspective and metaphorical lyrics, “traffic on the street, traffic in my mind, traffic in my soul, the street’s gonna swallow me up whole…”
The entire experience of listening to Stillness is breathtaking, with dulcet and charming vocal delivery from the rising artist. We are in love Sahara Beck‘s tender tonal delivery fused with exquisite guitar and elegant and elevated vibes, giving us a soft-rock sensation with an epic sense of nostalgia fused with the futurism of clean and refined production.
Stillness is the third Single from the artist’s forthcoming EP and is a very personal and vulnerable track tackling the subject of panic attacks and mental health, comparing the feelings to being trapped in a heavy traffic jam.
As a songwriter, Sahara had multiple placings in the International Songwriting Competition, as well as the Nashville-based Unsigned Only Competition and in 2019 she placed in the Top 3 in the illustrious Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition.
Speaking on the hypnotizing new track, Sahara says, “I really wanted those heavy guitars in the chorus to accompany the soft, calm singing, the guitars are the (traffic) noise that were once overwhelming, but in juxtaposition to the kind of meditative vocal I was going for, they become like a soft cushion surrounding me.”
Stillness is featured on our New Music Spotlight playlist and we are currently immersing ourselves in Sahara Beck‘s top tracks on Spotify!
