Setting the scene with super bright synth-pop production, Brazilian artist Braulio Cruz, who is based in New York City, opens his new single An Endless Love with exactly those lyrics.
With a diverse range, Cruz asks us, “don’t you want to find out?” amidst alluring synths and textured drums.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Braulio Cruz wants to decode the mysteries of life, and explores themes of psychology, psychedelics, spirituality, homosexuality on this anthem of curiosity.
Speaking on the track, Cruz says, “An Endless Love honors the awe surrounding the force of love, both daunting and empowering, creative and destructive.”
“[It] honours the awe surrounding the force of love, both daunting and empowering, creative and destructive. It is about the spiralling curiosity we feel about the universal unknown.”
We love an introspective artist that uses their voice to help people self-realize and that is exactly what Braulio Cruz is doing on An Endless Love.
This release marks the artist’s new venture into music production. Due to the quarantine months of 2020, he was unable to work in the studio of his teacher and long time producer, Randy Bergida, so out of necessity, he downloaded Ableton, and with his Korg Minilogue XD, Arturia Microbrute, and Behringer Pro-1 set out to self-produce a bedroom pop record. We love the result!
Cruz cites Ladytron, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Bjork and The Flaming Lips as some of his inspirations and we can really feel that coming through in his universe.
