With glistening syncopated bells and rising gritty textures amidst a whirring bass and 808s that penetrate your heart, we cannot get enough of rising French artist, LYHE‘s emotive masterpiece Crazy World.
Empowering, transcendental and emotive, LYHE‘s fascinating discography is created using keyboards and textures. Based in Saint Lizier, France and speaking on their work, LYHE says that their records are inspired by the philosophical question, “why is the world going so fast?”
Remastering is a wider collective of 12 tracks including Crazy World, Space Travel, Beautiful Song (we love the strings here!), the moodier Future Dream Bass, Revolt and Apocalypse World to name a few – a series of vulnerable, vivid and refined tracks.
We can really feel the emotion from the artist in their body of work and are grateful to have discovered LYHE’s expansive and brilliantly mixed productions.
Their recent song What Can I Do also features some exquisite sitar playing and we are fully hypnotized by the artist’s seven diverse albums fusing downtempo, electro, dub and piano, which are created to help align our chakras.
Speaking on their history, LYHE says, “I learned the piano fifteen years ago by doing MAO, using only samples, Iwanted to create my own sounds with a MIDI keyboard.
The continue, “that’s how [my] love of the piano was born. I then did a one year music training in 2014 at the CFPM in Toulouse to become a music teacher. After graduation, I gave piano lessons to students in the school where I work. but composition is my real motivation.”
We are thrilled to have discovered LYHE‘s work and will be immersing ourselves further in their records and wider discography which you can stream below and explore on our New Music Spotlight playlist!
