Setting the tone with emotive wails and textures amidst syncopated percussion, Frank Bramble opens their latest indie-hop release Fall to Flames, with the vulnerable lyrics, “why were you there? you know i don’t believe you care, cos everything you did to me has broken me…”
For Fall to Flames, the Birmingham-based artist has expanded into a multi-talent project which also features Kyle Horne (credit for the opening vocal textures!) and Hanwell.
The self-aware song narrates feelings on a love connection with a refined poetic delivery carried by a grunge-rnb vocal.
As an ode to introspection, Fall to Flames goes on to repeat, “I tried to push my passion back, cos it’s all gonna fall to flames” but it is clear from Frank Bramble‘s creative output, that their passion is front and centre.
We particularly love the synthetic future bass at the top, the immersive panning, harmony vocals and drum riffs, not to mention the glistening synth before the final build, which add dimensionality to the track.
Speaking on the track, the artists say, “Fall to Flames reflects on past life”, and realising how much their lives have changed, in a mournful sense.
However, with the future in mind, the outfit is pioneering a new adventure with their brand of indie-hop, a new umbrella term that the artists hope will change the state of the music scene to be more inclusive and less segregated.
