With a nostalgic edge, The Fallen Electric’s new single “Move to the Sound” has a surrealist and energetic rock flavour that keeps us wanting more.
The polished and feel-good new track from the rising grunge-alt rock band takes a fresh spin on ‘90s era rock and sounds like it would fit seamlessly into a great proportion of 90s teen romance films.
The anthemic band features Jimmy Ganzer (founding member, vocals, guitarist), Joe Carrillo (lead guitarist, vocals), Drew Barber (bassist, vocals), and Charles Weetly (drummer).
The Fallen Electric, from Southern California, most notably won the Ontario Battle of the Bands in November 2020 and landed a spot at the 2021 Ontario Summer Concert Series as a result.
The video is directed and edited by bandmate Joe Carrillo and showcases each of the band members’ musical strengths. Joe delivers and outstanding and powerful guitar solo, and fans of Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Tom Petty can definitely vibe with the frequency emanating from The Fallen Electric.
Speaking on the authentic fan connection, lead guitarist Joe Carrillo says, “For musicians, it’s never easy. You only have a few moments to really try to connect with people and it’s pretty special when it happens. Our music has an eclectic but familiar flavor and it helps connect people to us. We’ve learned that people respond to music that’s coming from a real place and played with them, not at them. We want the world to know that while times are tough right now, the party will continue again someday and it’ll be better than ever before.”
