Enticing us to “turn that mother***er up” (which we did!), alternative rockers Moon Walker have just unveiled their latest release, Doombox along with music video with wicked performances, demonstrating acting chops and great set design from the band.
Doombox is catchy and possessing, featuring thrashing guitars and super intricate drums with memorable vocal delivery. Harry Springer is the frontman and lead guitarist of Moon Walker, and Sean McCarthy is the drummer. The duo showcase their comedic sense in the video which is filled with clever ideas, costumes and stunts.
Harry and Sean met in high school in Colorado and have been playing together ever since. They are the co-founders of rock band The Midnight Club and started Moon Walker as another outlet in quarantine.
The duo cited Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, T Rex, Talking Heads, Can, Radiohead, Cage The Elephant as influences, to name a few, and we can really hear that come through in the record!
Speaking on the song, the band introspectively says, “So many people have bought into fear and intimidation tactics that it’s almost becoming an element of comfort in our society. The “Doombox” represents whatever destructive thing you find comfort in.”
Doombox is just a taste of what is to come from Moon Walker, and we can’t wait to hear the record in full!
