Opening with pulsing synths and panning waves, alongside a clean pop vocal, San Francisco artist Sasha Hromyk sings “I’ve never felt it like this before”, as their new track, Dance is introduced to us!
Telling the story of an encounter with a lover, Sasha Hromyk includes layered vocals that give a refined feel as the hook, “baby let’s just dance” comes in.
Born Alexander Ryan Hromyk (Hur-Roe-Mik) and raised just outside of San Francisco, CA, singer-songwriter Sasha Hromyk was determined to succeed as an artist from a young age.
Raised in a predominant Russian-American community with roots in Paraguay and Argentina, Hromyk’s third-culture upbringing shaped his younger years significantly.
He began singing early on in school productions and church choirs. Uploading YouTube videos at the age of 14 garnered him attention from record labels and television shows alike.
Sasha Hromyk is influenced by 90s R&B acts including Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Brandy, and Aaliyah and this really comes through in Dance. He is also inspired by UK Garage/Soul artists such as Craig David and the Sugababes.
The breakdown is introduced by quirky spoken word as the track evolves with additional layered vocals contrasted with some wavy autotune segments.
