As a stan of conscious artistry and poetic self awareness, I was grateful to first experience the sounds of Michael Love Michael at the start of this year with their release of Rope.
Imagine The Craft meets Heathers dark Americana vibe, but put it though a 2020 lens channelled by the future of humanity in this case the vessel, a non binary multi-disciplinary deity coupled with wavy guitars.
Production on the record is in collaboration with Rich Da Silva and has an ethereal yet raw and transportative, trippy but make it MOOD kinda energy, so obviously I stan. Tracks that I especially love are Rope, On God, Million Girls and 6 Jaguars, which was a single and I stanned super hard when that came out.
As y’all know, releasing at this time as an independent artist is a challenge in itself, so definitely have a listen when you can! Congrats Michael Love Michael and I cannot wait to hear more from you!
