Style can be something that comes in waves, depending on the moment, it can be something you’re really into all the time and have a natural flair for, or something you don’t really care about that much – or it can literally be both at the same time.
The same goes for grooming. It can go in waves depending on your personal schedule, or you can be the type of person to be tweezing 24/7, or I guess some people don’t groom at all. Can’t relate.
Mental health plays into self care a lot too. We have so many insecurities built up, even the most confident of people do. So if you can just realise the power that style and a little bit of self love can have on you, you’ll enter into a new way of feeling.
Style
The style you have is going to make all the difference to how you feel and how you look. Obviously, everyone can pull off every single look, and everyone has their own different ideas of what they think style should be.
Minimalist style can still be made to look great. Simple jeans and a nice top combo is one that’s a classic for both any gender. It can be made to either look causal or smart causal. Smart casual for those events where it doesn’t warrant a shirt or something more, but jeans and a top would be too casual. When thinking about the style you also need to consider accessories. Shoes are technically an accessory to any outfit. They’re the finishing touch.
Always make sure that you have a shoe suitable for every occasion. Jewellery also plays a big part in the finishing touches to an outfit. For some, a smart casual outfit wouldn’t be complete with James Bond inspired watches that make any outfit look great. A big statement watch can be important for both men and women. No matter what, always make sure that you feel comfortable with what you’re wearing.
Grooming
Grooming is just as important, if not more important (in a post materialist world) as the clothes that you’re wearing. It’s what makes us feel good about ourselves in a physical world and also spiritually helps us connect with ourselves through self love. There’s no doubt that a good pamper is always going to make you feel happier.
Freshly designed hair, a groomed beard (if you have one), finger nails, a face mask, moisturising etc., can all help. It can also help to make sure your sleep is regulated, you are meditating enough and so on – all factors that contribute to overall wellness and groomed vitality.
Applying This Self Expression
Use your new found confidence and awakened energy to help inspire other people, keep creating art, keep the positive outlook on life, do volunteer work and use your voice for a better future.
People relate to and want to be inspired by those who are already achieving, so keep that going at a time that our planet and fellow citizens need it the most.
Don’t be afraid to express your highest self and stay motivated! Peace.
