If you’re a creator, you know how horrible it can be if the well of inspiration runs dry – albeit temporarily. Energy can feel zapped, we doubt ourselves and our role and output, even through knowing that in the grand scheme of things, this is our destiny. Sometimes we have to break through it and let the universal energy that drives us shine through and take control.
That said, here are some ways to rediscover the creative spark, and fulfil our collective destiny to solve world peace through art.
Embrace The Technology
If you do most of your creating on your computer or laptop, it might be that you’ve exhausted all options in your current set up, and it may be time for an upgrade. Enhancing your device can help unlock a different quality of output, features, and functions while choosing PC components can help you target the essential parts to take advantage of what a computer can offer.
Tech isn’t something that keeps you anchored to one place, it can be your inspiration while on the move, especially if you can embrace the nomadic way of life. And while being on the move can be troublesome, especially if your Mac charger broke, you can sort this out wherever you are. So many people take a laptop and travel the world, and tech can keep you connected to the people you love. Try and embrace the tech to get you far away from the comfort of home.
As your creativity is the crux of your business, it’s worth putting the investment in to try to rediscover this.
Separate Yourself From the World (For a While)
With so many distractions around us daily, it’s a wonder that anyone gets anything done, and if you’re a creative person, you know how you sometimes have to be in the zone to get creative. But with commitments all over the place, finding the time to dedicate to creativity is challenging.
To overcome this, consider separating yourself from the world in order to connect with the universe. Even if it’s only for a while, doing this can help refresh and recharge your creative battery and could save you from the distractions that the modern world brings. It won’t be for everybody, and for some, you may need to throw yourself into society and meet as many people as possible. Still, if you’re someone who recharges through isolation, it’s worth considering. Meditation, guided astral projections, exercise, chanting – all of the above can really help.
Try Something New
You may have started your creative career trying a little bit of everything. If you’re a writer, you might have dabbled in both sci-fi and fantasy, whereas a musician may tinker their sound with multiple genre influences before finally settling on a sound that works for them. However, your genre is never set in stone, and it could be holding you back.
Trying something new in your creative sphere can give you the shove you need to get back to doing what you do best: creating. It doesn’t necessarily need to be groundbreaking, but it needs to be something. Creating anything at all is worth celebrating, so use this to get back on track.
Creative Sparks
Anyone who works in a creative industry will know the frustrations of not having the inspiration necessary to fulfil your creative craft. Instead of becoming a slave to these frustrations and getting into your head about your issues, consider trying out these solutions to rediscover the creative sparks and watch them burn anew.
