Last week, on the eve of Pride Weekend in London, I had the pleasure of attending Paco Rabanne’s launch for Pacollection – the brand’s first fragrance collection under the direction of Julien Dossena – and it truly felt like the future. The vibrant range was exhibited in the Barbican’s conservatory showcasing the six perfumes that explore the nature of scent through unique character archetypes: Fabulous Me, Genius Me, Dangerous Me, Erotic Me, Strong Me and Crazy Me.
As someone who carries fragrance around with them most days, a personal highlight for me was that each of the scene are contained in a super unique soft and light bottle. My favourite three scents, that I’ve had the chance to spend some time with this week are: Strong Me, Fabulous Me and Crazy Me, but TBH, I can relate to all of the adjectives in the collection.
Strong Me, which Paco Rabanne describes as smooth and woody, features black plum liqueur, intense amber wood and vanilla. Fabulous Me, described as coppery oriental features notes of silky sandalwood and a colourful plant duo of velvety pumpkin and green rhubarb. Crazy Me is electrifying and floral contains sweet, velvety mimosa and round sandalwood, clashing with spicy green wasabi. A mood for sure.
I’m super impressed with the quality of the scents and how long they last; and for the vibe and energy of the campaign (including a partnership with Dazed Beauty) is awesome – a more inclusive approach than I have ever experienced from the brand before, so here’s to brighter future!
