Last weekend, I had the chance to explore the newly designed Sol House in Ibiza – an intimate spot with sea front bedroom views on Punta Pinet Beach in San Antonio Bay. The location is actually the opposite side of the bay from the actual hot spot, so it serves a sense of middle ground between the two juxtaposed sentiments of the island.
The night we landed, the hotel hosted a rooftop party at SolSets Roof Top Nine Bar in partnership with Swarovski which was really cute and atmospheric in its minimalism. The sunset from the rooftop deck with a beautiful infinity pool (ideal for a night swim) was so warm and mesmerising, you didn’t want it to end. So that gives you an idea of how nice the experience is from that location. During the day, the roof top pool is a total vibe too and the humus is great.
During the day we went exploring the bay on both sides and ended up on various adventures where we took a series of photos shot on location within the surrounding areas of Sol House, thanks Joshua for your skills. We finished the trip with a night at Sunset Ashram, which is literally so epic and super near the hotel for a night that you might want to explore further. There was a performance by living legend Bahramji (everyone should stream his new project Four Dimensions – I know, he sounds like me in the future, it’s literally a glitch/preview). Also, the vegan menu was insane including a beautiful ceviche dish – and there’s a cute shop that I bought a scarf that makes me look like a prince.
Ibiza is cool in really polarising ways, but Sol House really serves this beautiful balance between the two poles. I’m sure the island as whole is already working on lots of ways to make its offering more vegan friendly considering the seismic shift humanity is going through and the ability for these great leading cultures to navigate and be ahead of the game for what inevitable evolution of the narrative is taking place.
