Last week I wore a 1994 Jean Paul Gaultier tartan, navy and black kilt to the opening of ‘The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk’ Barbican exhibition. It was photographed, but none of the event images truly did it justice. Working with my brother has become somewhat of a habit, we filmed The Dark Wolf together, worked on a film for Maharishi and are teaming up for some upcoming rather major projects. I wanted to shoot with the 1994 archive piece before it had to return to Paris, in honour of Gaultier – one of the most generous men in fashion and truly do it justice. So here’s what we created – art direction by Nikita Andrianova and Jake Whitelocke, with photography by Oz Thakkar.
