This is an incredible move for society and as usual fashion is leading the charge. Barneys NYC has partnered with Bruce Weber and seventeen transgender men and women from all over the world for the SS14 campaign across print, POS and digital – titled “Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters”. Vanity Fair‘s Patricia Bosworth to interview each model which will be featured in a brand portfolio, in-store magazine,s press and on the Barney’s blog.
The first few images and the first video have just been released featuring Arin Andrews and Katie Hill (who made press last summer with their story). Other faces are Edie Charles, Valentijn de Hingh, Ashley de la Cruz, Sawyer Devuyst, Peche Di, Dezjorn Gauthier, Trevon Haynes, Eve Lindley, Niki M’nray, Ryley Pogensky, Ines Rau, May Simon, Ahya Taylor, Maxie Neu and Gisele Xtravaganza.
10 percent of all Barneys sales from Feb. 11 will be donated to the National Center for Transgender Equality and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, both of which partnered with Barneys on the campaign.
