Antony and the Johnsons have just announced the release of CUT THE WORLD – a collection of live symphonic performances from the band’s four full length albums, recorded in Copenhagen with The Danish National Chamber Orchestra. I experienced Antony and the Johnsons perform with the London Symphony Orchestra back in 2008 at the Barbican and it was the most incredibly touching live music experience of my entire life, so I am genuinely excited for the arrival of CUT THE WORLD.
Additionally the new title track “Cut The World” will be featured on the album for the first time. It is one of Antony’s new songs for The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic directed by Robert Wilson and starring Antony, Marina Abramovic and Willem Dafoe.
