In short, the Melina Matsoukas-directed clip for Rihanna’s We Found Love is by far the most beautiful piece of video content that the popstar has created to date. The major pop parallel that I can draw from this, is a comparison to Darren Aronofsky’s Requiem For A Dream. The video sees Ri Ri and model Dudley O’Shaughnessy high on drugs (and the subsequent downfall) in an uber artistic narrative. The cinematography is absolutely stunning.
We Found Love is also one of the first mainstream artist videos to launch exclusively on the whosay.com platform, which may set precedent for celebrity content moving forward.
Very cool, I’m a huge music fan.
