Inspired by Greco-Roman depictions of the youth Antinous (Hadrian’s lover), Michelangelo’s David and so on, visual artist Stuart Sandford has created a giant steel sculpture entitled Sebastian, based on top male model Sebastian Sauvé.

The statue will be exhibited in London in December 2012 and then internationally.

The first part of the project is already complete (3D scanning, 3D printing, casting) but the project is still seeking funds, so to support completion of the full-size statue visit www.sebastian2012.co.uk and www.indiegogo.com/sebastian2012.
