After various video and announcement leaks (including her lyric “Argentina for Pepsi” in the track HOV Lane) over the last couple of months, the first slew of Nicki Minaj for Pepsi commercials have finally arrived. The spots include a 30-second and 60-second edit, along with an extended 3D version where you have various viewing options including a “no glasses” option. If you look closely in the extended cut version, you will spot designer and Pepsi fashion ambassador Betsey Johnson front row.
In addition to the below content created by Omnicom and dubbed collectively as “Live For Now”, Nicki is still set to be the face of Pepsi’s new soft drink Pop – out later this year. The campaign will include a live streamed performance via Twitter. This rather huge campaign coupled with the signing of a post-humus Michael Jackson for a further print campaign sees the brand’s return to its serious pop culture heritage which has included the likes of Britney, Beyonce and Madonna.
